RHYL AND PRESTATYN v MBi LLANDUDNO
WELSH PREMIER WOMEN'S LEAGUE
SUNDAY 2PM (weather permitting)
A PRE-CHRISTMAS cracker is on the cards at the Corbett Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Fifth-placed Rhyl and Prestatyn, who are enjoying a good second season in the WPWL, entertain a Llandudno side currently third from bottom.
Revenge will be on the minds of the home side, who were beaten 4-0 at Maesdu Park in the Welsh Cup in October.
On that day, goals from Katie Louise Bowe, Catrin Thomas and Rosie Hughes (2) guided Tudno to victory.
Bowe is the player in form having scored seven goals in her last three games. She has an amazing left foot and can find the net from virtually anywhere.
Llandudno will hope midfield marauder Stacey Tradewell has recovered well enough from a foot injury to play.
Class defender Jemila Bukari will also be an important player for the visitors, while Rosie Hughes is always a big threat in attack with her pace and finishing ability.
For Rhyl and Prestatyn, midfield maestro Joy Jamieson will as always be a player to watch.
Despite the fact she recently celebrated her 50th birthday, Joy is in tremendous shape and always puts in a good 90 minutes.
Laura Williams is always a danger up front, Shannon Hobbs can be an effective attacker down the right and goalkeeper Megan Roberts is a proven good performer.
One not to miss!
