MBi LLANDUDNO OUT OF LEAGUE CUP

Catrin Thomas (stripes) scored for MBi Llandudno at Cardiff Met

CARDIFF METROPOLITAN 9
MBi LLANDUDNO 2 (Thomas, Bowe)
WELSH PREMIER WOMEN'S LEAGUE CUP
It was always going to be hard for Llandudno against the league champions at Cyncoed and so it proved.
Met were four goals up before Catrin Thomas finished from a Katie Louise Bowe corner close to half time.
In the second half the hosts stayed on top and reached nine goals, Tudno replying when a Bowe penalty was saved, but Rosie Hughes got to the rebound and squared for Bowe to score her seventh goal in three games.
There were other positive aspects of the performance from the visitors, who created a few chances with Sofie Owen hitting the post.
Met also had a player sent off but it made no difference to the final outcome.
Among the home scorers were former Llandudno player Aimee Todd, who now lives in Cardiff.
Jemila Bukari was named player of the match for the visitors.
One to quickly forget for Llandudno, who now move on to this Sunday and a crunch league game at Rhyl and Prestatyn (2pm kick-off).
