THE WEEKEND'S WOMEN'S AND GIRLS FOOTBALL ACTION

Llandudno Under-14 Girls

SOFIE OWEN scored a hat-trick as MBi Llandudno recovered from two-down to beat PILCS 4-3 in the Welsh Premier Women's League.
After a poor first-half performance Tudno were fortunate to be just 2-0 behind at the break, Jassie Vasconcelos and Alana Murphy netting for the Pontypool visitors.
Only a couple of fine saves from Jess Hughes and the post saved the home side from further punishment.
Llandudno were a team transformed after the turnaround, Jordanne Greenough reducing the arrears before an Owen double, helped by two Kelsey Davies assists, put the hosts ahead.
Murphy levelled for the travellers on 81 minutes, but soon after Owen pounced from a Katie Bowe corner to clinch the win which lifts Tudno out of the bottom three.
Rhyl and Prestatyn were hammered 9-0 at champions Cardiff Metropolitan.
